The Healing Dreams Foundation proudly presents the 2017 Night Of Dreams Celebrity Lip Sync Battle Event, one of Northern Illinois' most anticipated charity events of the Summer season.

When individuals hear the word "charity event" they instantly think of a boring, get dressed in a tuxedo, sit at a table and be bored out of their minds for hours. The Healing Dreams Foundation works tirelessly to change that mindset by creating a unique event which serves it's purpose of raising awareness and money for charity, however adding new and exciting twists to make the evening both memorable and exciting.

The 2017 Night Of Dreams Celebrity Lip Sync Battle Event has several different parts to it. First it offers a special private pre-event party for VIP ticket holders. To make the VIP party different The Healing Dreams Foundation Founder/President Jeff Lee reached out to a old high school friend, Jason Simms, and asked if Jason and his popular band (Smokehouse) would be interested in playing a private concert exclusively for the VIP party which without hesitation Jason accepted the invitation. Along with the live concert the Healing Dreams Foundation includes several other perks as part of the VIP package.

The 2017 Night Of Dreams Celebrity Lip Sync Battle Event also includes the Healing Dreams Foundation HONORS Awards. The William Lee Compassion Award and Steven Stiles Courage Award are all up for grabs between five (5) special individuals. In addition to those awards, Rockford Police Chief Dan O'Shea being recognized for his continued leadership of the Rockford Police Department and the special programs he is leading by being presented with the Jerre Lee Leadership Award.

The 2017 Night Of Dreams Celebrity Lip Sync Battle Event is highlighted by the popular Celebrity Lip Sync Battle, where eight (8) to ten (10) local celebrities compete against each other in a fun and entertaining 1980's era themed lip sync battle. Each contestant performs one (1) song in a full costume (relatable to their song of choice) and are judged by three celebrity judges. The two contestants with the most points will go up against each other in the championship round to be named the 2017 Celebrity Lip Sync Battle Champion.

The 2017 Night Of Dreams Celebrity Lip Sync Battle Event also includes a gourmet dinner, interactive photo booth and silent auction.

Although the 2017 Night Of Dreams Celebrity Lip Sync Battle Event is put together to entertain the ticket holders, there are more important reasons for the Healing Dreams Foundation to be hosting this event. This includes giving the families and nominees who are currently struggling with life threatening illnesses on a daily basis, the 2017 Night Of Dreams Celebrity Lip Sync Battle Event is designed to give them, their family and friends a night to just laugh and have a great time.

The final reason for hosting this years event is to help raise money for Rockford area children and families who are battling pediatric cancer and other life threatening illnesses. Proceeds from this years event is being donated to these families to help them with medical, home and everyday expenses that continue to pile up while they are fighting for their lives.

2017 Healing Dreams Foundation HONORS

The Healing Dreams Foundation is excited to announce the 2017 Healing Dreams Foundation HONORS Awards have been added to this years 2017 Night Of Dreams Celebrity Lip Sync Battle Event.

The Healing Dreams Foundation HONORS Awards were created by Healing Dreams Foundation Founder & President Jeff Lee to honor the memory of his brother William Lee, his father Jerre Lee and father in law Steven Stiles.

The William E. Lee Compassion Award is a way to showcase local area individuals who have gone the extra mile to help those in need, while avoiding any sort recognition. This years nominees showcase some of the areas best and most caring individuals who's selfless acts needed to be recognized. This years nominees include Jeremy Hissong (Machesney Park, Illinois), Samantha Roberson (Rockton, Illinois) and Greg Jury (Rockford, Illinois).

After spending nearly the last decade working with and supporting families who were battling cancer and other life threatening illnesses, Jeff learned of the countless heroes who were battling these couragous battles. As Jeff spent time visiting with families in local hospitals he was inspired by their stories and wanted to find a way to recognize them and bring their inspirational stories to the public, to hopefully gain recognition and support for those illnesses.

The Steven R. Stiles Award accomplishes that task as it is awarded to a individual who is showing great courage through their life threatening illness and treatments and still continue to have a positive outlook on life. This years nominees and their stories are simply amazing and inspiring and serve as a reminder that with a strong courage and support staff, you can overcome anything. This years nominees include Kaden & Kaleighann Williams (Winnebago, Illinois) and Sunny Williams (Rockford, Illinois).

The Healing Dreams Foundation prides itself as being a strong supporter of law enforcement, EMS and fire departments, which makes it fitting that the inaugural Jerre Lee Leadership Award is being presented to the Police Chief. Rockford Police Chief Dan O'Shea has a proven record of leading the Elgin and now Rockford Police Department by leading by example. His compassion for his officers and the city is unparalleled which is shown by the different programs he has implemented to help not only the general public, but the cities youth. It is this leadership which has lead Chief O'Shea to be the perfect recepient of this years Jerre Lee Leadership Award.

The Healing Dreams Foundation held a special fundraiser Easter Weekend to recognize this years nominees as well as spent time visiting with each of them during private meetings during that weekend. The Healing Dreams Foundation board members will vote on the winners of each award and announce the winner at the 2017 Night Of Dreams Celebrity Lip Sync Battle Event.

The Celebrity Lip Sync Battle

The 2017 Night Of Dreams Celebrity Lip Sync Battle Event will be highlighted by a special entertaining lip sync battle, which will include several of Rockford's most popular Rockford celebrities as well as Rockford Police Chief Dan O'Shea.

The Celebrity Lip Sync Battle will feature up to eight (8) to (10) lip sync contestants who will each perform one song of their choice from the 1980's genre. Each performance will be judged by three celebrity judges based on the contestants costume, song, interaction with the song and overall performance.

The two contestants with the highest scores will then perform a second song, with the contestant with the most points being crowned the 2017 Celebrity Lip Sync Battle Champion.

The 2017 Night Of Dreams Celebrity Lip Sync Battle would not be the experience it is if it was not for the wide ranging personalities that make up this years roster, which currently consists of two 'veteran' and four rookie lip sync contestants.

The Healing Dreams Foundation is currently in talks with a handful of additional possible contestants in the hopes to reach eight (8) to ten (10) contestants for this years event. Any additional roster additions will be announced prior to event night.

The Contestants

The lifeblood of any celebrity lip sync battle is finding the right personalities that will make the lip sync battle entertaining and memorable.

The Healing Dreams Foundation also focuses on finding local celebrities who are not only popular in the area, but is also invested in making Rockford a better community. In most cases you find individuals who have the personality, the investment in the community but are simply too shy to get on stage and embarrass themselves in front of a ballroom full of people.

The Healing Dreams Foundation has spent the last eight (8) months searching, researching individuals in the Rockford area that fit all of the criiteria listed above and feel they have the most wide ranging and entertaining roster for this years 2017 Night Of Dreams Celebrity Lip Sync Battle.

The roster is headlined by former Lip Sync Battle Champion and two time contestant, Elliot Grandia from WREX. Elliot is joined by second year contestant Mike Garrigan of WIFR.

Now enter in the rookies. Making his debut on the lip sync battle stagethis years is WIFR's Mark 'Triple Hendo" Henderson, who will be teaming up with his fellow news partner Mike Garrigan to perform the first duo in the lip sync battle history. Fellow rookies include JB Love from Q-98 and the first female competitor 96.7 The Eagle's Tina Fox.

Rounding out this years Night Of Dreams Celebrity Lip Sync Battle roster is none other then Rockford Police Chief Dan O'Shea!

The Healing Dreams Foundation is excited about the current roster for this years Night Of Dreams Celebrity Lip Sync Battle, however the search for talent is not over yet. The Healing Dreams Foundation is currently in talks with several additional local celebrities to try and fill eight (8) to ten (10) total spots for this years event. If the current roster is any indication of what the Healing Dreams Foundation is searching for, there is no telling just how crazy and awesome this years battle will be.

The Judges

When you have the types of personalities that are a part of this years Night Of Dreams Celebrity Lip Sync Battle Event, you need to make sure you have just as strong personalities to try and keep the train on the track. The Healing Dreams Foundation feels they have found the perfect mix os not only personalities but also experience to help reign in this years competitors.

Leading this years Celebrity Judges is two year veteran Double-T from 96.7 The Eagle. Double-T is joined by his partner the last two years, DJ Jordan Chance of Luxe Prodictions. To help round out this years Celebrity Judges the Healing Dreams Foundation swing for the fences and landed two outstanding rookies in Steve Shannon of 97 ZOK and Illinois State Representative John Cabello.

Whether these four judges will be able to control the chaos that is the Night Of Dreams Celebrity Lip Sync Battle will be known on Thursday August 10th ... either way it is going to be a night to remember!
